I was fed up with ribbons break during furias tests with my Amiga600, so i designed small pcb to connect sd2ide adapter to conenct it to amiga in horizontal way just over modulator.

 

Inside box:

Q: Can I disable buzzer ?

A: Yes, You can. next to speaker there is solder "blob" connects two pads. Use solder iron, just touch blob gently and connection will be broken making buzzer not work.
